There are 90 days left of 2022... How to strategise for success

In the sudden blink of an eye, the air has turned crisp and the leaves have turned orange. Now we're in October and it's officially #spookyseason, we're reminded we're now in the last quarter of the year and speeding towards a new date in the calendar.

Whether this is too stark a reminder of time's speed, or fills you with a "bring it on!" attitude (we hope it's the latter), the UK's favourite marketing agency for tech scale-ups is here with our Top 3 pearls of wisdom for making the last three months of 2022 count:

1. PRIORITISE

This is number one for a reason.

The very first step is to prioritise your never-ending to-do list. The next three months are going to go by fast, and with the last month of December being filled with festivities, it's going to be an even shorter quarter. This means it's even more vital to focus on your TOP priorities for the rest of the year. And here's how to go about deciding on what those could be...

  • What has worked for you in the past? Which activities have you seen bring in the most amount of success?

  • Which tasks seem to energise you and your team?

  • Where have things stumbled down before? What can you put in place to (a) minimise those from repeating and (b) ensure things can get back on track as quickly as possible?

2. BUDGET

As we head into winter, you, your investors, and your customers alike are all feeling the squeeze.

In terms of your own budgeting, the above prioritisation exercise should help when it comes to apportioning your Q4 marketing spend.

In terms of investors, show how you're gaining traction as well as increasing runway (easier said than done!)

And for your customers, can you use this delicate time as an opportunity to bring in price freezes (like we are at Bloom), offer freebies, or flexible payment plans? Short-term pain for long-term gain definitely applies to your customers right now.

3. EXECUTE

As soon as you're done strategising and planning, get into action mode.

Never let strategising get in the way of execution, or perfection become a fear of taking action.

Use the fact that we have less than three months of the year as motivation for this final sprint.

Test campaigns. Attend events. Showcase at exhibits. Speak at conferences. Work the room.

(But don't forget to take care of yourself in the meantime!)
